Good Morning Global Warming

I woke up this morning, stumbled out of bed and turned on the TV to check out the morning news programs. The very first thing I saw was a report on ABC's Good Morning America about wind farms in Upstate New York. I turned the channel to CNN's American Morning and they were airing a report on carbon trading. Regular readers of this blog may accuse of me of beginning to sound like a broken record, but seriously...is there really any doubt that solving global warming is now a significant part of the national dialogue?

Today's meeting of the Iowa Climate Change Advisory Council marks the next-to-last time they will meet before they present their final recommendations to the Governor and Legislature. I've seen a number of the written comments our supporters submitted - they're very good, and in some cases strikingly knowledgeable and very specific about the various proposals. I attended the meeting this morning, and provided my own comments to the Council, asking that they choose bold recommendations for action. Read More
